The zodiac is a symbol of twelve animals that represent the energy and movement of heaven and earth developed in ancient Korea and China. My work began with the legend that God ordered a running race to determine the order of the 12 animals, and the order of the animals was transmitted in that order.

It is said that the zodiac has been shown both in human form and in the form of a god. By adding a story to the interesting narrative of the zodiac's past, we conceived a world view that the zodiac still exists to the present day and has a meeting every year on the first day of the first lunar month like a running race in the past. The zodiac is accompanied by a guardian animal, which means each of them, and has various personalities and characteristics, so we interpreted this in a fashionable way and produced a short looping video of each person going to a meeting with their guardian animal.

The shape of each zodiac, modeling, texturing, and post-correction of the guardian animals and characters were all done by hand, and artificial intelligence technology was not used. You can see all the zodiac signs together, and we decided to name the work ‘‘新(十二支神)’’ in the sense that we have drawn a new look of the zodiac.
